Our customers often ask us about Splatter Coat texture vs Knockdown ceiling texture. Both finishes are extremy similar and are created with similar equipment.

The biggest difference is that splatter coat has a very slight splatter visual and it is left to dry immediately after being sprayed. Knockdown ceiling texture is smoothed slightly an knocked down immediately after being sprayed.

This is a great option if you are chasing after a modern ceiling finish. It is a spotty texture, just slightly more rugged than a flat ceiling finish, but is still less rugged than splatter coat or popcorn texture.
